The Teton Youth and Family Continuum of Care

All children have incredible potential within themselves—our goal is to provide the tools to harness it. At Teton Youth and Family Services, we always start with the least restrictive care and outpatient services, keeping families together from the beginning and following up with more involved interventions only as needed. We know that true healing comes from a united, loving family.

The History of Teton Youth and Family Services

TYFS, an independent private nonprofit organization located in Jackson Hole, has served children and their families in Teton County and beyond since 1977 when the Van Vleck House first opened its doors as a drop-in center for teens. Today, TYFS is the umbrella organization for three crucial child welfare entities in our community and state. The Van Vleck House, which includes a Group Home, Crisis Center, and Court Diversion Services, and the Hirschfield Center, which provides programs for families and children, as well as forensic interviews for children who have experienced neglect and abuse, are both located in the town of Jackson, Wyoming. The third Red Top Meadows facility offers residential treatment and wilderness therapy programs for teen boys in Wilson, Wyoming.
