Organization Overview

Teton Youth & Family Services (TYFS) exists to help children and families navigate crisis and move toward more stable, hopeful futures. Our work is grounded in a continuum of care—prevention, intervention, and postvention. We offer a range of behavioral and mental health programs for all youth in the community through our 3 facilities: Hirschfield Center for Children, Van Vleck Group Home & Crisis Shelter, and Red Top Meadows Residential Treatment Center.

Position Summary

Individuals in this position work primarily at either our Van Vleck Group Home & Crisis Shelter in Jackson, WY or Red Top Meadows Residential Treatment Center in Wilson, WY, with flexibility to work at both facilities. Both are strength-based, trauma-informed residential programs that support youth 12-17. At Red Top Meadows, residents live on our campus, attend on-site school, and work through treatment in a structured community setting. At the Van Vleck House, residents live on site, remain connected with their local school district, and are connected with our local community. Outdoor adventure is woven into day-to-day life. Residents take part in camping, backpacking, hiking, and whitewater trips as part of their treatment experience.

Youth Care Staff are responsible for the daily supervision of our residents. They create a safe and predictable environment by establishing healthy boundaries, reinforcing choices and behaviors through the use of natural and logical consequences. We’re looking for Youth Care Staff who can bring steadiness, resilience and leadership to the daily work of adolescent treatment. We value a team who can bring a variety of skills and interests to our youth to help them become well-rounded individuals.

Youth Care Overnight Staff may work overnight shifts up to 10 hours. We desire a long-term commitment due to the relationship-based nature of our programs.
